Edward Phillip Eddings (January 12, 1941) or also known as Phillip Durham is an American-British Author, a Game Director and the C.E.O. of his Game Developing Company, Isthmus Studios. Well known for his Books like The Demented Stranger, The Writer's Fever and his Magnum Opus, The No-Space of Doctor Lorino. He is also well known for directing the largest MMORPG in the world, just ahead of World of Warcraft, Fallwind.

He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Sarah and Matthew Eddings. He moved to Britain when he was Ten years of age and didn't leave until he was in his 40's. He wrote his first short story for Goldship Voyages in 1959 and would continue to write short stories and serials for them until 1970 when the magazine went Defunct after publishing The Goldship Voyages and The Sins and Deeds of Captain Reynolds Vrishka.

He published his first novel, The Hordes of Zion when he was kicked out of Goldship Voyages and was instantly a big success as his previous serial had gained wide spread attention over several continents. It quickly became the Third most popular Fantasy Book of the 20th Century. He expanded the book into a large series called The Fallwind Series which became the most popular Fantasy Series throughout the 20th century, being subject to several movies, A lot of games (including his own MMORPG), and many novels in the Fallwind Universe.

He has also published several Science Fiction and Horror Stories during the 90's. His Novel, "The Demented Stranger", was published in 1993 and won the Bram Stoker Award in 1994. In 1998, he wrote his Magnum Opus, "The No-Space of Doctor Lorino" which was awarded the 1999 Nebula Award, the 1999 Locus Award, the 2000 Hugo Awards and the 2001 Campbell Award. He was Nominated for the Arthur C. Clarke Award and the Nobel Prize for the Novel as well.

In 2003, he went to The University of Tokyo where he learned how to Develop and Direct games. He then founded his own Company and created his first game series entitled The Under Earth Series which became a very successful game series and received generally favorable reviews. After receiving a General income of $5,000,000, they began working on the project "Fallwind Online". During this time, they released the Fallwind Trilogy which became the basis for the MMORPG.

He then released the Beta Testing for Fallwind Online and it received Perfect Scores from all Reviewers. The Offical Release of Fallwind Online was in 2006. Gameinformers gave the game a perfect score and Famitsu gave it a 40/40. Durham took it to his interest to continue working on Fallwind Online and made it his main project.

Phil durham is married to Amelia Worhol and has had Three Children. He currently lives in Del Ray, California where he works on his novels still in his age.
