It won the Hugo award for 1982, The Nebula Award for 1982, The Philip K. Dick Award for 1982, the Locus Award for 1983, and the World Fantasy Award for 1984. It is one of the most celebrated books of its time and was also nominated for the National Book award and the Pulitzer Award.
A Film Adaption of the same name was made by Director Westen Chapel.
